Vaccine Exemptions for Preschool
According to current Kansas law (K.S.A. 72-6262; K.S.A. 65-508), children in preschool facilities or programs are required to be immunized according to the Secretary of Health & Environment's determinations unless they submit a medical or religious exemption.
If your child’s preschool is operated by a school, exemptions fall under K.S.A 72-6262. Follow the guidelines for school exemptions here.
If your child’s preschool is not operated by a school, exemptions fall under K.S.A. 65-508. Follow the guidelines for daycares and preschools not operated by a school here.
